hi guys, ive recently cleared a few rack mounted server cabinets out and have got quite a few 10 way extension leads, most of them say 13amps max load, how much is that? (Say computers, 480w psu, crt monitor, how many could i plug in?)
cyborg said:Voltage multiplied by current gives you the wattage they can handle. So 240v x 13amp = 3120w. So over 3000w, 4-5 computers on the one extension lead (to be safe, then again the fuse would only blow anyway).
funny that, i just tested mine yesterday with a multimeter and it was 240vM0t0r0la said:UK voltage is now 230V (-6% +10%)
So: 230v x 13A = 2990W or 2.99kW
