15 mins of red alert 3

Looks fun but am starting to think Starcraft 2 if it arrives this fall is gonna proove better :)

Am sorta tried of tanks and telsas well almost!
 
ok, RA2 is probably my favourite and most played game, i loved it. I am so glad they brought the RA2 sounds into this.

I hated generals, it was awful. This seems to retain a bit more of the classic RA2 action and style. I pray they still have chrono legionnaires - they added a level of tactics never seen before!!

I like the way you are invisible if you are on a higher plane - that is quite cool. I hope they have evened out the teams a bit, as with battlefortresses and guardian gis, allied got a bit too powerful in RA2 + yuri's revenge.

Bases on water - flipping excellent idea!! That is really going to make team multiplayer a whole new game.

All in all im really looking forward to it. Perhaps the ore gathering method will grow on me, but tbh i don't see the problem - you will always have money as the ore won't disappear, and you can still kill the enemy harvesters.

I loved the shooting of the tesla men into the base!!

The one thing that really made red alert 2 for me, was the fact that you had so many units that were tactical on whole new levels. I.e. chrono legionnaires, terror drones, ifvs, transport chopper, desolators, ivans, spies, chrono ivans, chrono seals.

There were so many things you could do with these - bombs on men, put them in flak track then drive them into the enemy.

It made the game hilarious at times when playing with friends online - chrono's in trees!

If it isn't as good as RA2, I'll have no problem going back to it. It is easily the best RTS ever made.
 
I loved doing the RA2 co-op campaign online with my mates, i hope they have included it this time around too.

the only way to play the campaign is via co-op so if you want to play it by yourself you have to pick an AI to play it with.
 
Tiberian Sun was not what you'd call colourful, by any means...

lol was gonna say, tib sun was basically all brown with a hint of green :p

I like the look of this game but the ore node thing is my only gripe. Yeah it's nice having a seemingly constant supply of money (providing you have at least 1 harvester) but thats not proper CnC to me :(

In CnC you should end up with no ore/money left on the map so it creates more of a challange and struggle trying to build enough of a force to attack or defend with. without that theres nothing stopping you from churning out tank after tank after tank

All an all looks ok, dissapointly plain. Doesn't have the immediate wow C&C3 had so im not even being mislead into thinking this will be great.

Ore Nodes? :/

It's even worse than the generals one, in generals you could send multiple harvesters to a node at least, you can't in this one.

It BETTER have the music RA is famed for.

A little odd choices with the resource gathering, but still worth a play i think.

Whens it due out?
 
Am downloading now. Something I liked in generals but C&C 3 didnt have was the resource allocation later on i.e. hackers and drop zones. Will RA3 have similar and can you build walls?
