ok, RA2 is probably my favourite and most played game, i loved it. I am so glad they brought the RA2 sounds into this.
I hated generals, it was awful. This seems to retain a bit more of the classic RA2 action and style. I pray they still have chrono legionnaires - they added a level of tactics never seen before!!
I like the way you are invisible if you are on a higher plane - that is quite cool. I hope they have evened out the teams a bit, as with battlefortresses and guardian gis, allied got a bit too powerful in RA2 + yuri's revenge.
Bases on water - flipping excellent idea!! That is really going to make team multiplayer a whole new game.
All in all im really looking forward to it. Perhaps the ore gathering method will grow on me, but tbh i don't see the problem - you will always have money as the ore won't disappear, and you can still kill the enemy harvesters.
I loved the shooting of the tesla men into the base!!
The one thing that really made red alert 2 for me, was the fact that you had so many units that were tactical on whole new levels. I.e. chrono legionnaires, terror drones, ifvs, transport chopper, desolators, ivans, spies, chrono ivans, chrono seals.
There were so many things you could do with these - bombs on men, put them in flak track then drive them into the enemy.
It made the game hilarious at times when playing with friends online - chrono's in trees!
If it isn't as good as RA2, I'll have no problem going back to it. It is easily the best RTS ever made.
