£15 off and free delivery at very.co.uk with the following codes...

Just checked with my boss (who gave me the codes) who ordered 2100 xbox points for his son, he checked his online banking and indeed there are 2 transactions from VERY.

The first is a £19 debit, the second is a £15 credit, both done on the same day within 30 seconds of one another.

It is true, they take the full amount and once the item is shipped they issue the refund for the discount.

Is it legal? I don't know but this is what they do, additions direct, very, littlewoods and now woolworths, think they are under the same umbrella.

It is a good saving just make sure you have funds in the account or you may get bank charges aswell.

Regards
Gary

they take the full money from you when you order, not sure how long untill they refund the difference, ( if they do) i'm still waiting, my £4 order, they took £19 out of the bank.

Sub Total £ 19.00
Total Discount £ -15.00
Delivery £ 0.00
Total Including Delivery £ 4.00

Because using a discount code not meant for you is?

It's perfectly legal to use a discount code that wasn't given to you directly - what law do you think it would be breaking?

Charging a different amount to what you have confirmed on a customer's order is a completely different matter.

Well they have done it before and they will do it again, it's your risk to take.

They will always say that you used a discount code not intended for you and take the full amount, it even states in their T&C's that the full amount is taken then a refund is made, it's so they can do a chargeback once they decide the voucher wasn't valid.

If you don't want the stress, then don't use the coupon and go elsewhere, you have been warned.

They take the full amount but once the order has shipped they refund you the voucher price ie £15 in this case.

Thats what i have been told by the lady when i rung them up to query the transaction.

I wish I'd read the T&Cs now :(

Edit: Actually they have refunded the £15.00 to my account according to transaction history. Lets hope its legit!

Can you put in the OP that they take full payment and can refund the value of the voucher if they feel like it ... i wish i hadn't bothered now :(

You forgot to say that even if they refund that they could change there mind months later and take it back claiming the code wasnt meant for you. Its happened before and upset a lot of people who hang around on sites like hotdealsuk.

If its such an issue then heres the thing.....ring them up and ask to cancel the order:confused:

I dont agree with them taking the full amount then refunding u later etc but if you dont like the way they conduct business then dont order or just cancel if you have.

And you have to organise and pay return postage so you'll still be out of pocket.

The item usually arrives then they take back "what's theirs" up to 30 days after, so they'll probably charge you a re-stocking fee also.

Am pretty sure they state that returns are free of charge on their site??...dont know anything about a re-stocking fee though.
