$15,OOO,OOO,OOO,OOO fraud exposed in UK House of Lords

No wonder people don't show up to the house of lord when you have to listen to people like him ranting on.

ok, ive listened to the whole video of the worlds worst public speaker (moving me into second place) and i'm still clueless as to whats happened. it sounds like $15t has moved from some rich guys account to a bank, and some gold that doesnt exist has been made real and then not a lot has happened with it

can someone explain in morons terms what this guy is claiming has happened and what the problem is please

a bloke in the pub told him something and he wants to be important.

He's a moron.

Lord James of Blackheath said:
Still, Lord James breathlessly trumpeted the report. “I have this quite frightening piece of paper, which is my justification for bringing it into this meeting,” he intoned. “It is available on the Internet and I am astonished that it has not already been unearthed by the Treasury because every alarm bell in the land should be ringing if it has.”

Let's all laugh him down because we trust the most powerful people in the world, don't we all?

The first item is something from the internet - the other proper documents are not

nah we laugh him down because he's a gullible idiot

if you want a financial conspiracy look at the cross ccy swap Goldman Sachs structured and sold to the Greek government in 2002 in order to help them mask the level of debt they had so they could meet the Maastricht criteria and join the euro...

The Greeks are regretting it now as they had absolutely no clue what they were buying or how to price it (GS even managed to convince the Greeks not to shop around for a similar deal with any other banks).

Edit - the best bit about it, for GS at least, is that they took a hefty commission on the deal and then sold it on to a Greek bank. Even in the Greek govt defaults now they'll only be screwing one of their own banks.

It's basically a scam targeted at rich people. They are told this money is hiding somewhere mainly in the form of bonds. The scam says "you give me a bit of money and I'll give you loads of bonds greater than the value of what you give me."

Even after being told it's a scam, this bloke is still trying to chase it up. It's like me getting an email from a Nigerian prince knowing it's a scam but still wanting to find out how he substantiating his fraudulent claims! Mad!

They said it was on the audit papers of the banks and that alan greenspan had signed certain documents showing the money has been transferred. He reads the two names of the gentlemen. Why not ring alan greenspan?

Is it real or what? They say that the money the banks got lent is sitting in thier accounts. And that they could easily repay it but instead of just making tons of interest of it.

Nothing on the BBC or any newspaper...I know this guy is blabbering and the worst speaker but to not look into his claims would be foolish as well.

Hello Mr!

I offer you great deal backed by Alan Greenspan. I got secret documents by big banks trying to hide, to effect of $15,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.00 dorrar! You help my uncover conspiracy, and give me some basic personal detail including your governments bank account, you get big reward!

Quick, let's waste tax money on launching an official inquiry into the above matter!!!! They mentioned Alan Greenspan!!!! It PROVES it is real.

What harm could come from reviewing/investigating/whatever it?

It's a scam! I explained it. I've seen the documents that Greenspan allegedly signed. They look good but how is anyone (but people familar with the NY Federal Reserve) going to tell if it's fake or not. I know a load of people on these forums could fake a important looking letter in Photoshop in an hour or so. Be that from a bank, the government or even Mi6 looking files.

Anyway the above paragraph was a waste of my time because the Fed are actually investigating it and they've got a web page noting to avoid emails and correspondence from the Riady bloke. What did the Lord saw he thought he had in his bank? Many trillions? Did you hear everyone laugh?

wasting time and resources

should we also investigate the claims of every 419 e-mail or are we supposed to investigate this one because the gullible idiot happens to have a title and seat in our out of date upper house. Like I had an e-mail from a Nigerian prince desperately trying to get millions of dollars of his assets out of the country - should I have take that seriously and demanded that someone investigates?

If some indian scammer phoned Lord Blackheath claiming to be from 'windows' or 'microsoft' and that his computer had been infected... then perhaps told him that it was an endemic problem in the UK and he went on to ask another silly question in the house of lords should Bill Gates be phoned - just in case...

Exactly how much work do you think would need to go into this investigation if it is as much of a shambles as you are claiming?

Investigations are not "all or nothing". You do know how investigations go, right? You know, when people look into something?

Epic comparison of a topic that has been brought up in lords to a phishing email btw. Really shows your sensational side.

Then let the investigation, who will/do have proper authority and access to the actual facts discover that. Again, what's the harm?

That last bit ("What did the Lord saw he though he had in his bank?" etc) - sorry, you'll have to rephrase that as I'm not sure what you meant. :)
