When you installed windows did you have all the drives connected to the motherboard or just the drive that you wanted to install windows on to?

If all the drives were connected during installation, windows randomly adds boot data to a different drive if this is then relocated / removed it will cause the error that you had and as you have swapped cases it seems likely.

all drives where connected at the time of installing the OS. better just to do a reinstall and leave all drive out apart from the OS until the OS is installed.

never run into this before, changed a few cases over. this is new errors to me.

I had the same error Christmas time when I changed a storage drive out. I tried to fix it but gave up and just reinstalled windows. I reinstalled with 3 drives connected but only found out about just having one drive connected after I had installed. I'm thinking of swapping my case out in the next couple of months and fully expect to see that error pop up.
 
got stressed and just done a clean install of windows.. forgetting that this new case didnt have a dvd drive lol.. disconected all the drives apart from the OS ssd and installed windows updates etc.. then shut pc down and connected the drives
all the drive letters are correct now and everything is working fine now, fingers crossed. waiting on the sata adaptor to get the other fans working. will post pictures when finished.

anytime i reinstall windows i will be disconnecting all drives first :D
 
Hmm just been looking at my specs and the - Ryzen 7 2700x i see this - Bundle Contains AMD Ryzen 2700X Eight Core Processor with 4.35GHz Boost after checking mine it only running at 3.70GHz its running more like a Ryzen 7 eight core 1700 3.70GHz
not sure if i need to enable something in bios or flick a switch for the boost.
i have also noticed that the Memory i have says Dark T-Force 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C16 3200MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black/Grey but checking specs the memory is running at 2133 ish

is this just me or would i need to enable it.

Probably clocks down when idle I would guess. Does it go up to that under load ?

You enabled xmp profile in the bios for the ram ?
 
stays at 3.70GHz we do proper checks when i get home from work and get more information.
the ram i didn't enable anything, is it worth enabling it.

XMP 3200hz .
Then it's worth seeing Cinebench what all cores run .
Then might be few tweaks for XFR in Bios .
Also worth running a single core benchmark to see if single core reaches max 4.3ghz speed :)

Or just lock all 8 cores to 4.1/2ghz overclock :)

Got snaps yet ?
 
snaps when i get home from work :D
will run cinebench also, i did try and change some setting in the bios.. but it was grayed out for me and it wouldn't let me click on it.
 
i have set all core to run at 4.1MHz the ram im still at a loss with
i have set it to profile one in the bios and it lowered it lol

1066.0MHz seems low :D

Also checked the bios and its all up to date
