Same for a lot of things, Escort Cosworth, F355, older 911s.

Remember around the old financial issues of 2008/2009 you couldn’t give Clio V6s away, could get a phase 1 for not much more than 7k at one point.

993's were less than 15k as well :(
 
You could get 80s 911s for around 10k in the 00s.

Also Jag XJS v12s for pocket change. Those have been rising for a while now too.

In 2014/2015 I bought my Noble, in the run up I viewed 996 Turbos @ c. £24k, Esprit V8's from £18k, R34 GTRs for £20k, Ferrari 348 for £25k. Basically whatever I looked at I'd have been doing pretty well come present day but the R34 stands out by far as the biggest missed opportunity. Although I would agree the Noble was one of the more special ones.

I actually started that search viewing 5 V8 Esprit's which were all a little sheddy - Ironically this exact car I believe https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/lotus/esprit/lotus-esprit-v8-gt/10244803 I was talking to the chap about just over £20k for, but it hadn't had a cambelt in 14 years and had one or two services in its life iirc...

You get that a lot with Lotuses etc. Because people keep them as garage ornaments and don't do many miles in them, they don't think they need to service them every year. Then when they finally come to drive them, things go wrong :/
