am i the only one that thinks the TT is a dream car!!

Always loved the TT and a year ago finally got round to getting one. A remap and few other bits and bobs brings mine up to a more interesting 280bhp. Only other (affordable) car that has got my interest in the last year or so was the Focus ST (in electric orange). Went for a test drive and I did like it and was tempted, but just wasnt up to the grin factor of the TT for me. Still might get one though at some point. Either that or go retro and get my childhood dream car of an Escort Cosworth.

Haha, it's like opening Pandora's box :) I'm drowning in suggestions

I'm not into cars at all to be honest, I just want something nice looking, with more poke than my current 206 (not difficult) and with a nice interior. My current one only costs me about £300 in insurance a year and £60 a month in petrol so not too keen on getting something which ends up costing me the earth to run. Obviously willing to spend more than I do at the moment though.

Mk5 GTi would be my call for that money. If I convinced you let me know because my wifes is up for sale.......again!

Aye thats the fella, no chance of finding a new ST3 for that kind of money, the brokers say they can get them, but they are lying.

Id spend 15k of my own cash on a Golf GTI or a 330CI, these are the sensible practical choices imo.

Otherwise it simply has to be a skyline.

I am about to stick it on Pistonheads so I will point you in that direction when it is up. My username there is also Housemaster (odd that!) and you can see a pic. I have removed the price from this post as that is not allowed I believe.

Instead of going for a new car get something a little older - its amazing anyone buys new considering the insane depreciation cars have.

15k could get you a 02-03 v8 equipped audi a8.

Add two years to that and your looking at half the price again.

Insane.

BMW 330 Ci

Could find a better one if you look, but this gives you an idea.

thats a 320

you wont get a UK 350z for less than 17k

Im in the same boat at the moment im looking at 325 and 330 on 02 03 plates, but im think 14k for a 3-4 years old car, the i look at what else i can get for 14k and i gotta be mad to spend that on a BMW

From your point of view maybe, and one can not argue with the maths, but someone has to buy them new or people like you would not have any cars to drive. There is nothing like driving a brand new car off a dealers forecourt knowing you are the one to own it first time. Some people are willing to pay the premium to do that.

ST220, Audi S4, 330ci, IS200, Possibly squeeze an E46 M3 or an X5...

List is endless

Any preference on mileage/servicing costs/year?

If none of the above are applicable, E36 M3 or E39 M5 :D

X5?
please do tell where 15k will get an X5.

ok, on checking it does seem that X5s are now in the sub 15k bracket, i like that option :D

The thing is with 15k you can get pretty much what you want (sub exotica of course).

Yes you can :P

Technically under 17k

Plus that's screen price, you'd hope to knock a little off.

But in reality yes it's hard getting them for this kind of price, there's 2 uk ones including that on in 100 mile radius from me for that price.
