16 Personalities (again!)

Personality: ESTJ

Variant: Assertive

Role: Sentinel

So ESTJ for me but to be honest I found a lot of the questions, like almost all personality quizzes, don't have a yes/no answer which skews the results as I'm forced to pick something that's not what I actually think.

INTJ same as every time I take the Myers Briggs test. I don't think Base type alters significantly and am always sceptical when people say their type has changed significantly.

I prefer Insights to Myers Briggs, always found the questions to be less leading and the descriptions, especially concerning interaction with others, more accurate and ultimately useful.

There will be a lot of introverts on this forum :D

I'm ISTJ, always have been.

I did the 'who's who in the zoo?' personality test at work the other day and it was quite fun and interesting.

Every time I did a Myers Briggs I was an ENTP. Very strong T and P not so strong E and weak N

me too - i'll settle for that.

What I've found is that while I was apparently an INTJ in 2009 I am now either an INTP or an ESTJ depending on when I feel like taking the quiz. "Thinking" seems to the the only category that I'm not more or less on the borderline of, however which probably explains this.

Most people are close to the borderline of each category, there was an assumption that the test would be bimodal but in reality it tends to be normally distributed so the cut off is right in the middle of the distribution for each category which has the effect that two people with very similar scores on each either side of that cutoff will be given different results for that category despite being very similar....

Doesn't seem to have much use, though yes you can go online, answer some quiz questions and get a very general bit of waffle about your personality type which you might like to identify with, sort of in the same way that people identify with the bit of waffle associated with their star sign.

I did the test twice:

First as a truthful reflection of what I feel inside:
ISFJ - Turbulent Sentinel

Then I did it again based on how I act at work:
ENTP - Assertive Analyst

I did it twice as I genuinely behave differently at home.. e.g. I hate taking phone calls at home, yet prefer to phone people rather than email at work..

ESFJ, assertive and Sentinel apparently.

Just reading the blurb and apparently I was more likely to be the popular team leader type in school and college. Popular yes, team leader sports wise, no. I was a NERD!
