16GB iPhone - Out today!

Try last friday !:(

Oh well, at least they didn't bump the 16G to 8G prices and put the 32G at £269, then I would REALLY be ******.

You could always take it back under the 14 day grace period and pay the extra towards the newer model :)

He meant an older 8GB model.

I'll probably sell mine and get the 16GB just to say I have the latest :o

I was thinking that, but i don't need the extra space, i barely listen to music on the move now, only listen to music on my setup at home, studio at Uni and Car stereo. I hate having the, Must have the latest thing, feeling! I still have 3GB free on my iPhone.

See how much it is first though! :p Glad the touch has been upgraded, it's actually worth buying now.

Add 3.xG, GPS, the feature set of say a 5 year old camera phone and officially release the SDK and I'll take two. Till then I can't see me wanting to jump from an HTC for a 'cute' user interface and nice looks unless they come free in box's of Sugar Puffs any time soon. That said i'm probably in that niche market apple would rather didn't get anywhere near an iphone any time soon as the idea of having it locked down and restricting it's functionality goes against everything I want in an all in one mobile data device.

Fixxored, ill wait till the 3G version is out..rumours are around that there is a 3g version around the corner. Thats all i want is a 3G version of the Iphone.
Thing is, not to pee on your bonfire but..

It would be introduced in the US market, or at least would be put through US FCC compliance application before it hits the market.

This would be public knowledge, and it can take as little as 60 days, or as long as 6 months.. either way, you'll know about it before it launches.

AND..

3G coverage on the 02 network is currently no better than EDGE, so it would be useless for the majority of users at the moment anyway.

Finally, it's not expected until "late 2008", and with the recent 16GB upgrade I'd say that's likely to be later, rather than sooner.. perhaps even Q4 2008, early 2009 (at MacWorld)

Buy my 8GB, £230? ;)

MM if you're interested.. zero marks or scratches, even have the headphones and accessories tied up in original packaging.

Rather than starting a new thread.

I have noticed jailbroken iPhones on ebay for over £300. Now seeing as you can buy them without a contract surely that means you could buy one for £270, jailbreak it, sell it and sell it for £300-320. Do this 5 or 6 times and you have covered the cost of an iPhone for yourself.

Any flaws to my devious plan? Apart from the fact I have told everyone.

Only flaw I could see with that plan is that it's a lot less hassle and time to just buy one in the first place if thats your intention

The profit you'll make would barely be worth it

Fair enough.

Oh and thank you for not pointing out my retarded spelling of 'flaws'

I have editted it now :)

Just picked up a new 16gb iPhone today. It's easily the best thing I've ever owned.

Only flaw is that you can only purchase an iPhone with a card, not cash, and there is a limit of 2 iPhone per card.

So if you have many credit card then your good to go.

Also note they wont accept electron cards.
