172 or Integra ?

On the motorway at around 75mph i can get 300 out of a tank

Around town i get about 215 but i only do short journeys and like the vtec :D

Tank holds around £40 of super/vpower

Before I got my ‘teg I looked at a number of car’s the 172 being one of them, and to be honest I would say the ‘teg felt more refined, driving position was 100x better, seats were comfier, I preferred the interior and all round it just felt more solid than the 172. Everything about the car just felt spot on. Even on the motorway they are nowhere near as bad as some people make out, sure they are a bit noisy but it’s never in any way annoyed me, just stick the stereo on and it’s not really an issue. For the type of car it is I would says its very economical too, I do a fair bit of motorway miles and a £40 tank of V-Power gets close to 300miles obviously the more 'vtec kicks in y0' the lower that figure would be, on average I’d say I get between 210-50 miles for every £40 and that’s with a fair bit of vtec.

For the money there is NO other car I would have.

ive only been in an integra SiR (Johnny Coupe's) and I was absolutely blown away by its ability to corner and stop... granted I think his had willwood 4 pots on the front and some trick jap suspension, but it was absolutely superb

Did you not have a go in Merlins Teg?

I'm never easily impressed by cars but that thing was amazing, it felt like a bigger Elise the way it handled. Unbelievable that it's FWD.

Everyone complains about the driving position in the Clio but I'm a pretty big guy and have never had a problem.

Yeah, DC2.

Driven an FTO too. Don't see why that would change my mind about the Clio though. I'm perfectly comfortable in it and always have been...

It's not that I ever through it was uncomfortable just a feeling that it was too high, it felt like I was sitting in my mums Punto, (bar the recaros) not a hot hatch.

Sat in a mates Clio, the wheel is tilted too far forwards so it feels like your driving a bus/truck. The seat wasn't to bad but they could have done better considering the purpose of the car.

Neil.

Loved the seats in my DC2. Drove 200 miles to reading without stopping, and had no hint of numb-bum or discomfort at all...

Also, on the way back I had probably the best drive I've ever had in any car....was amazing. Empty country roads, VTEC and that chassis = win.

The purpose of the car is to go shopping :p

Is there much difference between the 172 and the 182? I myself am looking for a possible upgrade to a hot hatch...

interesting to note the fuel figures, imagined it would be worse.
Seriously thinking about a teg to replace my Civic. Have a 15 mile each way commute of which the first 10 miles are plodding along 40mph zone, the last 5 is best, fast A road's to the office.
