It's pronounced the same as owned. It's a typo of it, afterall.
So "gilly" is pronounced exactly the same as "hilly", because it's a misspelling (the keys are right next to each other)? Even though they're completely different words?

Phnom_Penh and Le_Petit_Lapin are equally wrong ;)

No. Pwned is a misspelling of Owned by nubs who push the wrong keys. Gilly is a shortening of Gillian and Gilly is secretly a girl ;). Even Jeremy from PP says that people who pronounce it Powned are ghey.

isnt pwned as it is because owned got put on the filter list for tonnes of servers after all the kiddies started going round spamming Owned!

Nah, it appeared in '94 long before counter nubs got their mitts on it ;).

But "hilly" can also be misspelt "gilly". Case in example: "The landscape was rather gilly"...

BUT....you should still pronounce it as hilly as thats what was originally intended.

If you actually use "gilly" intentionally when describing a piece of landscape....then...well, you're a bit weird arent you?

You can't pronounce a word based on how it was originally intended to be spelt; that's just plain daft. You take words at face-value and pronounce them as they are actually spelt, not how some obscure game developer meant to spell it.
