Where the hell are Nvidia with their new GPU's??

I thought they were supposed to be releasing the GT300's before the end of this year?

Cant see that happening now..

I want to wait to see what they have to offer first before I buy my next graphics card, as I like to have a choice.

Last news was Nvidia will release samples in January 2010 with you able to buy them in March.

So sit it out for 5 months or buy the best for now and upgrade later.

Lol that is priceless mate

It will be £600

Nobody would buy a card that is essentially two 5850's (725MHz core clock, £240 each) for £600. I think £475-500 is about on the mark, really.

That said, I suspect at least part of the reasons the supply of 5870's is so short is because ATi have been holding some (probably better yielding, lower voltage) parts for their dual GPU boards.

edit: orite different shader count, eh, I still reckon it'll be less than £600, though.

If this card is indeed over 12" long then I think I'm going to have to wait for fermi. I just don't think I'm going to be able to fit it in my case, so near and yet so far to finishing my build :(

I just saw pics of this 5970 in an Antec 1200, and guys it BARELY fits!!!

::edit::

Jesus.. that Photo davyboy has stuck up makes the X2 card look like an additional metal brace for the middle of that Antec case :o

I was hoping that the price hike was due to lack of supply not lack of competition on Nvidia's part.

I'm still hoping im right :(

Anyone here think its worth upgrading to a 5850 with my current hardware (See signature) Currently gaming at 1280 x 1024?
