;)

I doubt they are allowed to release anything now, even information.

Just wonder how many 480's they got in stock :D

I think my worst purchase ever for my pc is nvidia 3d vision. First it causes me to wait on games profiles to come out cos its sooo awesome i cant play in 2d to spoil the game. Then it causes me to sit here all night hoping i can get a gtx480 on release. I think i may go insane during the morning starting 27th, constant refresh, then most probably dissapointment when i get beat to the punch and they are all sold out.

28681 - the number of ATI fanboys that wished they waited for Fermi.

This will never happen for many reasons.

Firstly those who bought a 5870 at launch bought over 6 months ago.

Secondly if fermi is significantly better than 5870, say 25%+, then Nvidia will charge 50% more than the 5870.

So basically there will be nothing to be disappointed about.

But Fermi doubles as a central heating system too! Well worth the extra money.

GTX480 power consumption at full load is nearly 130W more than HD5870,full load Temperature is 92℃.

And

That sounds incredibly bad. It also says that temperature rose to as much as 98C before the fans started kicking in and brought it to 92C.

Doesn't look like much room to overclock if that is true.

yeah NDA lifted on friday which means we will get actual benches.

OCUK have probably received their batch or just a couple of cards to test.

but Friday will be very interesting indeed and hopefully give everyone the answers they've been speculating about.

Personally i can't afford to change my card so not bothered if it's faster than my 5870 but be interested to know how much faster (if at all).
5 - 10% faster would be a complete letdown considering how long they've worked on it.

roll on friday

@Fatboy.

I demand you post more info/tidbit about this momentous event in the lives of us graphics enthusiasts.

I work at royal portbury docks which is situated in a green bank zone, which means lots of wildlife is always present.

BUNNY'S WILL DIE TONIGHT IF VALUABLE INFOMATION IS NOT FOURTH COMMING FROM YOURSELF.
