No problem - and those temps are fine.
It's could be game specific - not unusual, but could equally/oddly still be caused by hardware.
Did you have issues with this game before the 'restore point'?
You may not have to yet - but it's a program that needs to be left to run for a few hours as it tests the memory using a lots of algorithms in a series of test patterns. And although it may be error free after one pass it may very well fail on pass 4, 7 or 8 etc so it needs a good amount of time to run a decent amount of passes.
*But the trouble with memory is, even if were to pass, you still can't rule the sodding stuff out if your problems were to persist (memory can be a bitch).
But, for now you're using the XMP and manually set to 2933MHz? So you shouldn't be having any issue - but you could drop to 2133 and test BF1. If it doesn't crash then we try and tweak the memory via DRAM voltage to 1.4V and perhaps upping SOC to 1.1V - if it still fails then personally i would question the memory as i've not had any sticks run less than 2933MHz @ 1.35V
Haven't got the EA origin Overlay on by any chance ?
Haven't got the EA origin Overlay on by any chance ?
Sorry for late reply, been aweful few nights with smallest kid ...
Ok, now you for sure it's not hardware related ! You want to try running the Game with DX12 turned on and 'in Game' turned on .
See if you get t same crashing as before !
If it does crash, again turn off 'in Game' but keep DX12 and see how it fares again .
@leeince
Hey mate, good to hear ! Yeah BF1 is intense when a lot of action happens and the Game loves CPUs with lot of cores ! Overclock should help nicely , may not give you massive frame increase, but should keep Min Frame rate higher . Should also allow ram to hit 3200 , again should increase in frame rate by 1/2 FPS .
Trying to remember my settings , though this was for 3.95ghz on the board .
