In other words, don't go to James with an Antec HCP 1000!

Once he mentioned the cables were littered with double pins, I immediately felt like the bad guy for getting him to work on it.

The 24 pin has a breakout cable on it also. Looking at it in retrospect, I would have chosen a different supply for the Project but the spec is superb on it and as can be seen, Pexon came up trumps with the finished result.

Especially since I have a Silverstone supply I know he would have much preferred to work on instead :p

Silverstone = easier to sleeve = quicker = cheaper ;)

Rich, if you want them red connectors changing to black Il chuck a couple in my bag next time I come ocuk and swap them for you, unless you want them red, or James is doing them in the future of course =)

The connectors are red. They will be hidden as they are on the PUS side. No issue with them being that colour at all.

Is that £150 just the service or including the cost of the cables too?
I have some sleeving, connectors and wires bought for my system in the summer but haven't had much chance to actually do it myself, so i'm interested in a service.

£150.00 for a whole psu is pretty good value tbh. Recently got some custom extensions made up by davido labido, (24 pin ATX, 8 pin ATX and x2 pcie cables). Dave has already stated here that he doesnt do this to make money, iirc i paid 40 quid ono for the set. Sure i could have went with pre braided cables from bitfenix/akasa etc and theyd have been a bit cheaper. But having owned a few they dont compare in quality. The braid used for the custom cables is outstanding quality wise, very dense and no hint of underlying wires showing. Pics of them look great but dont do them the full justice compared to seeing them in the flesh.

** XSPC Watercooling Hardware **

Another update for the weekend.

My friends over at XSPC have been putting out increasingly desirable hardware over the past three years and it has got to the point where the stuff they are making is becoming the reason I am watercooling my system again.

Just looking at XSPC hardware in person, it is easy to see why they are easily the most popular brand at OcUK and why their popularity is increasing as fast as it is.

XSPC have agreed to assist in this project by kindly providing the blocks and radiators for the system. In standard form, the blocks are superb, they have an industrial but sleek look to them. I am contemplating having parts of the blocks powdercoated but am still undecided on what look I will be going for with the GPU blocks.

Then there are the AX series Radiators. Hands down the nicest looking radiators I have seen and performance is supposed to be fairly spot on too.

A huge thanks to XSPC for their contribution to this project and for their continued support.

AX rads look so sexy :D
Looking forward to see them in the case.
What fans are you going for?
Considering white rads and white/green/grey sleeves?

I see Enermax fans are getting popular :)
Seen Clusters in someone's white build not so long ago and I am going to use T.B Silence in mine (those detachable blades are cool, so easy to paint it).
I would use Clusters myself but unfortunately white leds are nono in my rig :(

The Clusters are awesome. I used some in my Lian Li build a few years ago, the frames and fans are easy to spray, the ally frames were given a coat of sticky back vinyl. Top fans for modding!

I've got a couple in my build, too. They're exceptionally quiet. I'd never even thought of painting them...might have to give it a go :)
