.

Had somebody done that to me & I had then had the chance of a "chat" with him I think I'd have left my fist to do the talking!

It's an incredibly bloody stupid thing to a, do (or dream up) b, post here about!

I think , possibly, at the end of the OP you forgot the line "and then I woke up"

And no, I assure you, I'm far from a keyboard warrior!

LOL reminds of myself when I was younger, I worked on a VIP close protection team.
On the way home in the small hours in Bolton, I had fun pulling over a car full of spliff-smoking chavs in a Saxo who sat in a sideroad with a rubbish blue rotating beacon on their roof, and they pulled out behind me and turned it on so I pulled over in my Omega Elite with blue grille and visor strobes and siren - I let them past and then sped up and turned mine on whoop whoop burrrp burrrrp, they stopped and I drew alongside and said "Pull up around the corner youths" . I was wearing a black suit and stern face and these three 17 year old's faces were a picture. They pulled around the corner and I slowly drove away back to the midlands chuckling.:D

Can you just clarify, this seems to suggest that on a single carriageway A road a car went to overtake and you accelerated hard once you realised he was doing so, and continued to do so once he was alongside you?

Yes it appears the OP is a complete tit, an unsafe ******* who could have easily killed anyone oncoming, the chap overtaking and himself.
Maybe I am getting old, but this sounds like complete idiocy rather than something to shout about.

I would like to know how a 335i can keep up with an accelerating e60 M5.

Perhaps the M5 expected to waft past in a higher gear without any issues, not expecting that the car he was passing was about to downshift 2 gears and dump 306bhp onto the tarmac for no apparent reason. Presumably why he stayed level and then gave up, dropping back. Seems ridiculous, especially as the OP would surely have not known it was an E60 M5 until AFTER he had done this and it was alongside, for all he knew it could have been some bloke in a 520d just going for an overtake..?

Assuming this story to be true then I think that the chap was pulling your plonker.

Aside from a member of the security services driving like a loon, I've never known any of them to willingly identify themselves, they never show Government issued ID saying "MI5" and simply wouldn't risk their careers for such a stupid stunt.

I find it highly unlikely that mi5 or gchq would have id badges.

So either this was someone having a laugh or the OP is fantasy.

They do but like the poster above said they don't normally go flashing a badge saying "MI5" to a random civilian (or a badge that says MI5 at all).

Assuming the story is true I highly suspect it was either someone imitating a member of the security services (which does happen) or more likely CID.

Used to get the CID doing it around here in souped up Lotus Carltons (I think), could always tell it was one though as they were always dark grey with tinted windows, rarely arrested anyone just winded them up but these days the rules are stricter and they wouldn't get away with it.

Well I wouldn't be so cocksure, seemingly you can't even spell the town in which your offices are based in?

I wrote that? Seemingly you must think GCHQ is run by one person, the truth may blow your mind. You may also wish to distinguish between an obvious typo and someone that cannot spell. :)

Either way I don't see why the OP floored it. What, does he not let anyone overtake him? This is why BMW drivers (and Audi drivers) get a bad name.

No, I didn't say you wrote that. Thank you come again.
A high level government department that cannot proofread, even a basic spellcheck? lovely!

I'll bear that in mind whilst overtaking a lorry and thinking of stopping at the next services for a jimmy.

Outrageous. Not sure if I'll be able to sleep tonight. 'Lovely' should have been capitalised by the way. Thank you come again!
