For SLI @2160p there is nothing better than the TitanX.

Even a pair of 82%+ ASIC Kingpin 980 Ti's are not as good for gaming.

The old Titans held their price when the GTX 980 and 970 turned up.

Unless mid range Pascal offers more than 8gb of memory it won't be a threat to the TitanX.

Nvidia will drip feed Pascal like they did with Maxwell. They'll be selling the 1070 and 1080 for 6 months before the Titan and TI variants.

From a business point of view, they'd be mad to do it any other way. The 980Ti successor is probably a year away.

Also for tomorrow if all goes well we will have a GTX 970 deal to blow all other deals away, but its costing us about £20,000 to make it happen so it is taking some work as it is a lot of money for me to get signed off.......

The later reason I expect. Paid less for my trio when rates were not quiet so bad.

On a seperate note, glad I went Tx's now the VRAM is actually useful using the finally fixed DSR + GSYNC + SLI combination. Games look really stunning and smooth ( where supported which is not as much as I would like) should hold me over until the next full fat cards rather then mid range I hope
