197mph stock

Back when it was between the ZZR1100, Blackbird then the Hayabusa I though the main manufacturers agreed that the top end speed war would stop?

I will stick with my measly 155mph 748 thank :)

Cornering is where it's at on the roads. Speed is useless. Torque + cornering = lots of road fun.

Agreed, but speed, power and all the electronic gizmos are winning BMW a hell of a lot of Superstock championships...
:)

A mate of mine has one, replaced his Gixer 1000 with it and reckons is better than his beloved Gixer in virtually every area and noticeably quicker. I had dinner with him the night he collected it and all I remember was him telling me how clever it was. Looked ace and has a new short exhaust thingy on it now (sorry, I'm no biker) and sounds epic too.

Not the short Akra but oof!!!
:D

I dont think anyones saying top speed > cornering just 200mph fairly easily from a slightly modified bike is awesome!

And no doubt its tech and gizmo's will make your average rider corner better too, though as said on the road a 250cc 2Stroke is more than enough for awesome cornering :p
