Amazing from Arsenal again today - Juventus could well get caned. I can't wait to see Arsenal v Barcelona if all goes according to form :)

Amazing performance from Birmingham today after the canings they've gotten recently - I couldn't be more pleased for Brucey. I'm a bit disappointed no one seems to have mention Jermaine Pennant though as for me he was MoM - absolute stormer of a match and seemed to be on both wings at once.

Great win for us, still don't like seeing Saha starting (he missed another sitter that Ruud would slot in 9/10) but really important win against Bolton. We're really going to have to bring our A game for the Arsenal match, oh how I miss Heinze at times like these.

Carlos got a straight red I think.

No, it was for 2 yellows, both for arguing with the ref. How stupid! You'd expect a bit more from such an experienced player.

Madrid hung on for a 1-1 draw thanks mainly to keeper Casillas. He was outstanding as Barca had 35 shots on goal of which 11 were on target.

Are you sure? They showed it quite a few times and he didn't give him a yellow before the red. I agree though that he was stupid both times.

Edit: from Eurosport.com live text coverage: AND ROBERTO CARLOS GETS A SECOND YELLOW CARD AND HE'S OFF!!! The Brazilian clearly giving the linesman the piece of his mind - the referee let it go a little, but then clearly something was said and it was in fact a straight red. That is just utter stupidity on Roberto Carlos' part!

Eurosports coverage is wrong too then, as it was infact 2 yellows.
One was after the penalty was given he didn't leave the area whilst arguing, he was shown the Yellow card and retreated.
The second was about 40 seconds later when a freekick was given, Carlos was arguing with the referee and not getting his yards (again), he was shown the red card for this.

He was infact booked prior to the red-card.

The referee reacted to something Carlos had said. He only pulled the card out after Carlos had finished speaking. I wouldn't be suprised if it was a straight red. Showed it in slow motion on sky what Carlos was doing and the referee reacted after it. Don't think it was anything to do with him not being 10 yards, as the referee wasn't even looking at him when he started to pull the card out...

Harry Harry Harry Harry, Harry Houdini.

Sorry Harry I still can't forgive you, but if you keep the boys trying to the end of the season I might be able to respect you again!!!!

There are only two teams on the south coast -Portsmouth before February and Portsmouth after February ;) :p

Just to clear this up again, he was booked after the penalty but was not given a second yellow, instead a straight red after the second incident. Look at the box at the bottom of this official Real Madrid page. It's worth reading it all just for the biased view point.

Bit late with my biased synopsis of Saturdays game.

Excellent.
Best we have played all season and halted the slide of 4 back to back losses.

Jenas , as expected , got immense abuse from start to finish.
Songs about goldfish bowls , mobile phones placed where they shouldnt be and questioning the sex of his bedroom sparring partner was all good stuff.

The atmosphere was great for a change , the team spurs on the fans and in turn we spur on the team.
All they need to do is put a decent shift in on the pitch - I cant see what the players or manager fail to grasp about this situation

Man of the match Bowyer filled in exceptionally for glandular fever victim Parker who will miss the rest of the season.

With the games we have left we should be looking to push into the top half of the table - trips to Brum and Sunderland as well as home games with Wigan and West Brom should yeild some valuable points.

Onwards and upwards.
