1st build - advice please

Thats one sexy set up! :D

But feels ashame spending all that money and you dont have an SSD...something to do in the future thou :)

Dont fancy having a H50-1? Im getting one cause every1 raves about how good they area and its a bonus tht they look sexier than a air heatsink and just to boast about how my pc is watercooled :P

right have now been advised that for the money im spending there may be a better option as to what I had selected, my head is spinning lol. Any way heres what was recommended

what do you think?

It comes in at £1338 which leaves me just enough for the 850w enermax and is just within maximum budget give or take a fiver.

As much as the build is nice I'd either stick with i5 or PII, i7 is such a waste of money if gaming is your main purpose. And trust me either of the cheaper options is still freaking fast for a movie encode here and there.

I'd go with i5/PII and an SSD instead, and better memory : ).
Other than that it looks all cool, and forget to get a tube of MX-3 if you haven't got one yet.

I5 is a no no in a crossfire set up.

So go with i7 or phenom 965.

But if i was spending as much money as you i would want a i7 too :)

Do you really need such an expensive case and 1 TB HDD? Will you fill it up?

I would save money on a cheaper case and get a samsung f3 500gb and add another one later on if i need the space.

So with the spare cash get a SSD

Looks good, I would personally go for the Gigabyte EX58-UD3R as the Asus doesnt have anything the gigabyte i dont think......Plus its a lot cheaper...
I would go with this ram

The Corsair H50 is better than the Noctua ;)
If you want to save a bit go for normal 5770s not Vapour-X
I too would say get i5 or Phenom II

think that board was suggested for the cross fire spacing the ud3r 2 gpu's would be right next to each on the p6td there would be a air flow gap. plus vapour x's cooling is better than reference coolers by a good 10 degs in most cases sometimes more depending on the case
