Nothing wrong with Corsair PSU's! Have used 4 in builds and they have all been solid, they have their place with no high end GPU is being used.

It doesn't have enough PCI-E connectors for the 290X lightening.

See my post above.

And molex-PCI-E adapter? no thanks.

You dont need a 750w PSU to power a single 290X lightening LOL!!

These will do it and have the connectors,

Hmmm, CX range are a bit "budget".

Its unlikely to blow up, but a PSU from/made by Seasonic/Superflower etc will be better ripple, efficiency, quality internals (Japanese capacitors etc)

Ah yeah I remember now it's the other *X that are built by SeaSonic. Thats the bad thing about Corsair PSU's. Still it looks good enough to get the job done and for £65 it seems like a solid buy. That said I would probably go with the modular SeaSonic EVO and three nice PCIE cables.

Agreed, solid and strong PSUs.

I see, so would i need a better power supply to use that graphics card?

I had to change the tower because it said the R9 290 might block some bays in the 200R.

With the cash back site you sent me, i can buy the qualifying parts from any site right?

You have to buy the CPU+board same time same place, the other items dont matter.

So I guess you can take a HDD cage out for the card to fit.

Oh right thanks, is there more than 1 HHD cage right, thats just means if i wanted 2 hard drives i couldnt fit 2 with that R9 290 LE, what about if i want to put in an SSD could i do that if i take out a HDD cage?

I think you dont have to remove any cages (perhaps what you read was referring to doing 2 cards)?

See that pic, the top card will clearly miss the top of the cage, the lower one wont, but you will only have one card.

It was it says maximum length 430mm without drive cage. I was asking if i take out the drive cage how will that affect it, will i not be able to put a hard drive in? like is the drive cage one unit that comes out, or is it individual cages, i just wanted to know how it will negatively affect the build if i remove the cage.
