Thats much better, what did you change? I mean you were sitting at 79fps previously

yep..

but on CCS i get 120fps now in vista at max settings, 1680 x 1050, with 4x AA and 16x AF

.. in xp its 70fps on the same settings

Looks quite interesting. I reckon those crossfired 3dmark06 scores will fly upwards with an overclock on the CPU.

I reckon any decent clocked Core 2 Duo system with two of these would break 9k but not much more I doubt. I think im just gonna throw an hd2900xt in my system soon instead of getting a second of these, we'll see how the cashflow is going however

maybe its fun but if it damages the cpu and memory, i don't have the money to replace them at the moment..

but in 2 weeks im buying the amd x2 6000+ cpu

well i clocked the core to 880mhz without any problems.

honesty the 2600xt is a good card.. if u had a 2600xt u see it isn't as bad as review say it is.

why world the SM 2.0 and SM 3.0 go higher also? the graphic card is at stock so i thought only the CPU Score will go higher...

Yes, exactly. Get overclocking. Stay within the given temps for air cooling for X2 and the cpu voltage and you will be perfect.

I think it's 70'C (core heat) before Prime/Orthos will fail.

(Non core heat) 50 - 55'C is the usual temps to stay under (If looking through Everest or whatever you use to read temps other than CoreTemp). Some go as high as 60'C though.

1.55v for the CPU max on air.

It's worth it to you as your gaming performance will keep getting better. I've yet to break a part from overclocking and I've put much higher voltages into my last 3 CPU's (2x 3700+ SD and this X2 3800) than was recommended (For benching). I done this as I know that they aren't as fragile as suggested but this was after I knew what I was doing.

Go for it and lets watch your FPS and 3DMark 06 numbers start to raise. Let's see how much power you really have

. Also can I add that this thread is crossfire results so you own it to the public for to get that CPU up to speed and let them know just how powerful this crossfire set up really is. If your SM2 and SM3 scores are increasing like that with a minimal overclock then there could be a lot of untapped power just waiting to be unleashed with this new overclock

ok. at 10% the vcore was 1.28v and core temp 35c is that ok? im using a Akasa EVO Blue Heatpipe Copper cooler

i thought adding more volts would damage it. can't i up the fsb without highering the voltage?

also is it better to put my memory on 667?

is there a program to be able to see the whole cpu temp?

It wont damage it if you add more volts. what kills a cpu is heat. Do you know what your load temp is?

Coretemp writes a temperature log to a notepad file. A very nifty and accurate program for AMD64's and Core 2's
