You wont be needing such GPU power until you upgrade to a 4K monitor. When you do, a more powerful and efficient card will be available at the same price point or cheaper. I advise you to wait, and fight against any temptation to splash the cash.

I know that deal has gone now but you are much better off getting a new mobo and cpu as the intel chips are much better.

I wouldn't get a single 7990 on my cpu, nevermind yours. Forget altogether about getting a second. If you want it down the line... then buy it down the line when it's cheaper.
May I ask why not? I have the same chip as you and have pretty much seen double the FPS since moving from 7970 to 7990.
