is this fan controller any good?

and will the sunbeam cooler fit on this motherboard?

If the cooler is a socket 775 then yes it will fit on the board.
ive checked the reviews on that fan controller and ive been told its easy to install and easy/good to use

go ahead and buy but double check the socket on the cooler :}

sunbeam is 775 just wanted to make sure it didn't catch on the heatpipes etc because its a large cooler.

With the Sun beam you need to check that the clips don't interfear with the northbridge heatsink, on my Gigabyte EP45-DS3P I had to bend some of the spikes on the heatsink to get it on.

That was not my choice of words when I tried to install it

could change it to a thermalright 120 extreme with a 120mmfan the clearance on that is great but it depends if it'll fit in your case

oh for gods sake! best give em a webnote to tell em to swap the cooler then as the northbridge heatsink on the board im after looks bigger than that on the Gigabyte EP45-DS3P. this bodes well for my future upgrade. any idea what will fit?

hmmmm should fit, i got a cm 690, however they are rather expensive them thermalrights

i can't as i didn't buy everything from this site however the basics of it is, all the above mentioned, mobo, cooler, fan controller, a 500gb western digital caviar black, 3 more fans and some other little bits like cable management stuff etc.

Most coolers will fit in there im sure, i just need something that will clear the motherboard my little phase of excitement has been cut short
