2 titan blacks vs 295x2

Personally, I'd go for two 780's / 780ti's.

If sticking with two cards, 295x2. If considering a third card, Titan Blacks due to actually being able to use and benefit from more than 4gb vram.

If he's thinking of 2 cards he could even go for 2 x 290x and save some money, 2 x 290p and save even more!

I'd probably go for 2 x 290p or 2 x 780 6gb cards.

He won't be running max details on anything that will break 4gb at 4k as 2 gpu's won't be enough to give decent frame rates.

I would personally go for some cheap 290p's until the next Gen arrives.

I did not know you knew the guy personally to know what he wants or will use.

If he got 2 titans and a gsync monitor I am sure the low fps would feel a lot higher.

Ah, heard rumours of a September release - probably won't be in stock till November then? Either way, you can see if the specs/price appeal to you if you wanted, if not your friend could make another decision
