2 titan blacks vs 295x2

So I guess Titan (Black) and its Titan cooler would probably be the best way to go then I guess?

If it was me (no laughing please :D) I would go with a couple of 290Ps for gaming and accept that I am going to have to compromise on the settings a bit.

I think this would be the smart money move as the OP could game at 4K for less than £600 spent on cards and wait for NVidia or AMD to launch something at a decent price with 6gb or 8gb of VRAM.

Other options

Titan Z, total joke for gaming (two Titan BEs beat it at everything).

Titan BE, you would need 3 to really use the VRAM and 4 on some games so not a serious option.

295X2, overpriced and rubbish performance compared to a pair of overclocked 290Ps.

290Xs, does not give much more that the 290Ps but there is a noticeable difference in cost.

So I think the OP would do well to play the waiting game and go with a couple of 290Ps (or even three).

The really important bit is how do your favourite games run @4K. My favourite game is Civ5 and it runs great maxed out @4K on a single stock 290X lol.

What about GTX780 6GB?

In the same boat as the 290Ps

You will have to compromise on less games because of VRAM on the 780s but they are not quite as quick as the 290Ps which have a little more GPU grunt.

I think the 290Ps and 6gb 780s for a two card setup are evenly matched, it depends what the games you play need whether it is more GPU grunt or more VRAM.

For a three card setup the 6gb 780s I think would be better by a small margin.
