I have 2 x Kingston Hyperx 3k 128 drives on a Asus P6T (SATA 2) motherboard.
Option 1
Put both drives in RAID0 for OS (Win7 64), apps, and a few of my most played games. Obviously this will be faster, but I’m a bit worried about TRIM, which I must admit I don’t fully understand.
Option 2
Leave the drives separate and have 1 for OS and apps, the second for a few games. This is the easiest option, but the drives will be limited to Sata 2 speeds, but I’m guessing still noticeable faster than my HDDs.
Which option would you suggest and why?
Bonus question:
I have 2 HDDs in raid 0 at the moment. Will I be able to move them from SATA 0 & 1 to 2 & 3 without losing my data?
Thanks.
