20 years - a stroll down memory lane

Do i look attractive to you ladies thread.
5ub and his face and magic tricks
ocuk motorcycle meet
Freefaller and Lie used to be regulars, think Freefaller fell back to his french routes and ran away but does pop up now and again.
member since 2004 but still a regular on here but post very little now as i know everything already.

Ohh the comedian!

I just went back to enjoying life - I still come in here to wind people up, and then walk away ;)

So, yeah.. French... :p

Walk away arrogantly (and shrugging I guess?), not running away :p

Though I did one of those ancestry DNA things, I'm apparently 12% English, and nearly 40% Mediterranean and only 20% French! So I'm nearly as English as I am French! How Mediterranean! :D But at least my Mediterranean roots are solid.

20 years for me too, but Christ my memory is shocking. I do remember a car meet I went to with NVP, normally I am a social butterfly but it was a bit awkward so we left quite early :p:o.

I went to Keele University so always loved a visit to the old warehouse. Think I joined the forums because one of the first PCs my mum bought kept braking and had an X-Files level issue - it refused to play Half Life properly. Eventually the only component left was the CD drive, and it still acted weird so blamed the drive lol. And then the first PC I built, forgot to put on the standings between the motherboard and case, turned it on - poof! Expensive lesson.

Been a great 20 years though. Thank you OcUK, staff and mods.

20+ years in here. Joined in 1999/2000 after I found the forum whilst building PCs to support my PhD and made several visits to the old warehouse/store. Almost went to a dyno(?) meet after importing an MR2-GTS, but that would have meant meeting real people :D

I remember most of the things posted and remember the guns pre nuke. For me I remember:

One of the Swansea meets, the Brynymor, Jumping Jacks and a certain person being singled out for a random drug test
The Aberdeen meet
The Donnie Do 2017 and the train back the next day with @bledd Ive never seen anyone that shade of green before :p
The Photography forum monthly… or was it weekly? competition (circa 2005), is that still a thing?
There was a guess the film from the still thread, Google image search probably killed that

I seem to remember you being somewhat of a beast in the gym. Are you still lifting?

Very much so. Built my own gym at home 6 years ago, haven't looked back! Despite being in my 40s I'm probably in the best shape of my life - thinking of maybe doing a powerlifting comp, I've done a couple of amateur strongman events as well (didn't do that well as most were on gear - but great fun! Still came 12th out of 20).

Get a room

We did.

I do miss the the days of the large Motors meets when we used to have like 50+ cars going. The last one I attended must have been close to 10 years ago now when I had a Monaro VXR.

I still pop in for a little look around but don't post much these days.

Too many memories to list from here. Made some damn good friends and we still get to see each other when we can. Growing families make that difficult for everyone but we still have good times and make more memories each time we meet :)
