Track is now open for the 15min trundle and 5 min sprint

All bar R.schumacher on track. Ralfi's Toyota is on the grass smoking somewhat heavilly. ;)

8 cars on track.

Klien has stuck it into the pits and is going to stay there - if he was going to start 9/10th then there's no point.

That Williams is fantastic.

They could be running a bit lighter than the otehr around them but that is frankly astounding. I knew they were going agressive this race but....

Looking at the times - I'm wondering if the McLarens have been running heavier all through the sessions...their times have been roughtly the same throughout..

Hmm...

Broadband - ok..
Glasses...fair enough *although it does look like their wearing a giant condom instead of being a sausage..*

God that's confusing, not only do you have to worry about 10 place drops but when those drops occurred

Yup....

I'm really struggling here with it - it's not easy at all to understand.

Looking at the times...

Alonso and the McLarens - Heavy
Button - Suspect first to pit of the front runners
Williams - around the same time as Button
Fisichella - shortly after Button adn Williams

Ok, so why aint the german git dropped down 10 places? thats 6 not 10......He's only dropped to 10th? thats a crock! :(

He did drop down 10 places - however there was drives in front of him that had engine changed that dropped back as well.

It's not a fair penalty tbh. Something like dropping constructor points for that car could be more appropriate..

Or - engine change? Go to the back. But then you've got the who starts in front of who. The answer - more milage on the engine when it goes pop - go to the front - brand new engine goes pop - go right to the back...

What's rather ridiculous is we've now all watched Qualifying but we don't know the 'official' grid order for the race (I know Flibster has had a damn good go at figuring it out, earlier in the thread). That's a bit of a joke really.

However, the McLarens will be up there.

Money where your mouth is time, folks :D I've gone for a £50 E/W on JPM @ 12/1.

I've gone for £20 on Raikkonen @ 7/2

Montoya was at 13/1 and was deeply considered..*may still go for it..*

Interestingly - Rosberg is at 10/1 and M.Schumacher is at 11/1 to win. :D

Still trying to figure the grid out as well...

Sorry for the delay in all these...been otu test driving cars to replace my Megane Coupe this summer. :D

Qualifying notes - Toro Rosso

Tonio Liuzzi: "This was a difficult session and the car felt different to the way it did in the morning. On top of this, we misjudged the tactic for my car a bit and we had not left enough time. So when I went out on new tyres I missed getting my timed lap into the 15 minutes by about ten seconds, so although it was quicker it did not count. We did not change anything from the morning, so now we have to find out why it felt different."

Scott Speed: "We did not do anything wrong in terms of my strategy for tackling the session. But I had traffic on both my quick laps. Basically, we have not shown good pace here since the start of the weekend and that shows up most in qualifying. In terms of aero, we are losing out down the straight, but that is partly due to the restriction we run under to comply with the rules."

Gabriele Tredozi (Technical Director): "It is disappointing that we did not get any further than the first part of the session, even though we got quite close to doing so. Even so, this should not reflect on the team or the drivers, who all did a good job this afternoon. On the plus side, I think we are looking good for the race in terms of our tyre and fuel strategy. The race here is always tough one and I think that could work out quite well for us."
