Looked to me like he was flooring the throttle out of each corner and having some fun

I'm guessing he was probably yelling in his helmet at the time too :)

Certainly was having a good time anyway.

There was a Honda on the grid, trying to light up the rears and getting the rear end out. I could'nt see the point really as the session was over. Maybe scrubbing some tyre's for qualifying?

First look at the Donington upgrade plans

First off it's good to see that the changes are all concentrated around the south side of the circuit keeping the Craner Curves & the Old Hairpin intact. A lot of the infield spectator area will disappear as a result but I suppose that's in keeping with Bernie's unstated desire to keep the track between the paddock and the great unwashed.

There is a lot of work to be done, especially since the circuit is insistent that the 2009 programme of events will go ahead without disruption from the upgrade. Simply realigning Starkey's Straight is a huge undertaking since the new line is through the middle of the exhibition halls!

I can't see how that will work, the plan shows no run-off areas on craner curve/old hairpin, it looks like a "provisional plan" to keep Bike fans quiet then they'll have a "review" and add the "safety changes" when it's to late.

I like the look of the seated Grandstands at Donington.

On the Spa note...I am seriously hoping this GP is a good one, after Valencia the other week (dreadful), it's about time a classic track delivered some memorable moments again to just highlight what F1 is all about.

"Let it rain! Let it rain! Let it rain"
*does silly dance*

Hello everyone, here we go again!
:D

ello, from autosport live:
10:35GMT Weather update:

Showers continue to dodge around just to the south and east of Spa-Francorchamps. From the radar you can see that the line of showers is coming up from France, through Luxembourg and the far south-east of Belgium.

Generally these showers have stayed 10 to 20 miles to the south east of the circuit, but occasionally one or two have strayed a bit more northerly, as demonstrated by the light rain at the start of the morning practice.

With rain showers still in the area, the teams will remain concerned as they continue their preparations for qualifying.
