Four and a half more days and a further two tests of rain and the Ashes are ours.

Heh, it did occur to me that we could win the Ashes 1-0 with the bad weather we have forecasted for the rest of the summer, but I really hope it doesn't turn out that way because it would be a hollow victory.

I wouldn't want to be winning this toss. Could be pretty overcast come 5pm and be a nightmare to bat on and fine all day tomorrow. Either way, I think we'll struggle to get a result here.

Definitely wouldn't fancy batting for an hour tonight. Would be very tricky indeed. I wonder would england ever have/will win the ashes without the weather helping them out!

Finally managed to start the test match i see....poxy british summer my arse...no such thing exists.

Not at all surprised that Watson has been picked and Hughes dropped...hes been pretty dire especially against the short ball...hoping that Johnson sorts his radar out or else he will give them the game literally.

About time Ponters won a toss...hopefully it wont backfire on him.

Aussies have made a rapid start to their innings...Watson on fire with 28 and Katich with 34...58-0 for no wicket so far...pretty good going by the Aussies...but i imagine a wicket or 2 wicket will have fallen by tonight knowing the Aussies luck.

Great Haddin broke his finger...so another loss for Aussies as hes a pretty decent wicket keeper but also for his batting as well.
