2010 F1 - Who goes where? Lineup and Teams

Slightly worrying that the teams haven't been finalised yet, especially USF1 :(

Well if this statement from Robert Doornbos is correct, it isn't that surprising they have not named their drivers yet.

Like he says, who wants to pay $5m USD to drive at the back of F1 when that sort of money could get you a seat in a front running Indy car or pretty much every other series on the planet?

The whole Lopez thing has gone very quiet, they were all but done when that was reported a while ago..... I agree, they need to get real with this, they are new teams, and need to have new team expectations. As a driver, joining either would be a massive risk. Newbies might becoming a backmarker, and not making an impact in the sport can leave you out of favor/shop window for the future through no fault of your own!
At this rate, some random well backed (or god forbid, millionaire club racer) driver will pay someone off to get his Superlicense, and finance his own drive.
F1 does not need another Délétraz!!

I don't understand why nobody has snapped up Heidfeld yet - you'd have thought one of the new teams would love to have someone as experienced and reliable as him!!

Plus the extra sponsorship real estate on his MANBAG :D:D

Reminding me of this guy has made my day! :D

"And what is Délétraz doing? Does't matter what he's doing!"

But yeah, it'll be Klien vs Heidfeld for the other Renult seat (Davidson might have a shout but i wouldnt be confident)

As for who will be next to Senna, my random bet is Sato! Pretty much the only driver i can think of who could now probably magic up some money to race....

USF1 just wont make it.....

Can't help but feel a bit disappointed, seems a bit of a waste to have him in a test role.

Agree with this, really feel sorry for the guy :(. When him and Kimi were together, Kimi got the break at McLaren, and at BMW, Kubica has managed to get the nod at Renault.

I think he is a great driver and reckon that if it had been Heidfeld that had got the McLaren drive and subsequently the Ferrai drive (which i would have loved :)) he would have made a better fist of it.

IMO of course ;)
