2011 Hayfever

I am usually really bad, but so far my hayfever hasn't arrived at all yet.

Same for me although my eyes are itching a little bit today but over the last few years my hayfever hasn't been anywhere near as bad as in the past.

My wife however suffers really badly.

I suffer year round allergies but from April through the summer, hayfever makes it worse. The only problem I have is a blocked and runny nose. Taking one tablet of Piriton in the morning usually sorts out the runny nose for the day but one of my nostrils is always blocked. Last year I spent about £100 on seeing a private Dr who prescribed £100 worth of steroids tablets and nasal sprays. It sorted me out for a short while but I didn't go back this year for more. The last couple of days have been quite bad, I've gone through a large amount of tissues blowing my nose constantly. I've decided that I might have to look at getting a nasal spray, it would be great to get my sense of smell back!!

I'm lucky in that my hay fever is only certain pollens. Its manageable with over the counter medicine.

Its not grass pollen as i can happily mow the lawn. But usually in the high summer (as opposed to early summer / late spring) it goes mental.

Non - It's about whining & moaning on about a few sniffles & a sneeze here & there.

If it was just a few it would be fine.

Without medicine, my hay fever is downright embarrassing. Sneezing regularly, as often as every 10 / 15 seconds because my body has gone into overdrive. If you're sat in a quiet office it's really awkward !

Most days I am fine but then the odd day REALLY hits me hard.

Had to duck out of work and get my ass to the chemist last week as I was sneezing constantly...indoors....in a sealed air conditioned office space :(

Its been bad for me lately. Tablets dont seem to work that good. Constantly sneezing has taken its toll and got a small nose bleed tonight. I may get a nasal spray. They work well.

Don't know if you guys saw my post in the other thread but I got all these for £8.15 delivered and they've made a real difference so far. Only had the odd sneeze today and nose has been clear :)

I always buy in bulk :) First time I've tried Loratadine ones though, working well so far. Need a hot and sunny day to put them to the test though.
