2012 NASCAR thread

Congrats to Bobby Gerhart. 8 times a winner at Daytona in the ARCA series. Fantastic :)
 
Command to fire up the engines has been given. Not long until the green flag now.
 
I do enjoy the 'show' of NASCAR, all the v8's firing into life on command :)

Except the invocation, they're almost universally awful :p
 
It's good to see proper superspeedway racing back, and then the stream gets taken down, seems there's only one left up now, who knows if I'll get to see the last 50 laps :p
 
yep, stream down again, seems besweeet5 is a good'un for now, might last till the end

Definitely liking the return to proper racing, really close racing and some big wrecks, what's not to like :)
 
I hate seeing cars turn over the way the #24 did. But I agree that the return of the pack draft is an improvement.

Yeah JRS, although the cars are so safe nowadays, although if there was a fire that could be very nasty
 
He might be a petulant, unlikeable, brainless prat for the most part, but Kyle Busch can drive.
