Pretty exciting as only Swindon have ever had any success in L1 playoffs when the other three have never been promoted through them.

Fascinated by the L2 playoffs as well as Burton (my FM team for the last few years) are fighting for their first ever season of L1!

The Play Offs were a brain child of one of our Directors a number of years ago (so they're our fault!) and since their introduction we've featured in 6... and have lost out in 6. Only PNE have got a worse record in all the country.

After the horror show in the final few minutes last weekend, we've not actually sold too many tickets. Will take about 1,500 to Swindon, but the home league won't likely be higher than 7,000 to 8,000 :(

Quite concerned about the fixtures though. Beaten Swindon twice so far this season, but they looked very good at our place for the first 60 mins. And obviously form means sod all in the play offs.

1st leg FT Scores:

Northampton 1 - 0 Cheltenham
Bradford 2 - 3 Burton

All still to play for really...

Northampton were pretty dominant in their match but only able to get the one goal, Zola was pretty lethal for Burton but Bradford finished strongly.

I'm not at all nervous for Sheff Utd's matches, as we have been absolutely dreadful these last few matches. If we go up it would be insane, we don't deserve it at all. We've played dreadful football all season.

Impressed with Burton going to Bradford and winning that really, Parky has been all bigging up the home support when Burton just needed to get a narrow lead for the weekend.

Shaping up to be a good weekend of games though!

Are you going to the game in Swindon?? It's my least favourite place I have ever been for football (well behind portsmouth but that was a bubble bus trip so we thankfully didn't have to see the place at all), never seen a good result and the away bit is just some seats and a burger van with a wall for a toilet...

Burton look good, don't they? Gary Rowett is doing a hell of a good job there.

Yeah, heading to Swindon tomorrow. I'm with you, I hate it there. The station is too far away, the support inbred and the ground is just a complete wasteland. I've been a few times so far, and as away fans we've always been housed up in the top corner of the stand on the side of the dugouts - although I think we're taking enough for them to open up the uncovered stand behind the goal.

I remember going at Boxing day, maybe 10 years ago, and they were heavily enforcing allocated seating. There were about 12 Brentford fans there, so lots of space, but wouldn't let my Dad and I move into a different seat... The sun was glaring right at us so we couldn't actually see any of the game. And we lost. My hatred for Swindon began then!

Burton are playing decent attacking football (compensating for several average keepers and a hit and miss defence) plus Rowett seems to have really picked up a squad that needed revitalising since that canadian bloke was about (forgotten his name really badly).

Haha! Nice to know my lasting impression of two league tuesday night games in two seasons was fully justified, I would say shame you had to sit in the sitting bit (only because the seriously enforced seating thing is a joke) but seriously the bit behind the goal is beyond the worst thing in football. Worst view ever, could hardly see Kelvin completely breaking Austin in the second of the drab 1-0 losses....

Good luck tomorrow though!

Missed most of the first half, just watching the highlights and, wow, are Yeovil out "Morgan-ing" Sheffield Utd, lol.

To be fair from the highlights there were a couple really bad tackles, and a blatant penalty(didn't see the first potential penalty, second was clear as day guy elbowing the incoming Sheffield player with the ref looking directly at it, stupidly easy to give it).

There is something utterly brilliant, utterly hilarious about Morgan on the sidelines giving "ref how haven't you given that" look, considering he was one of the most filthy violent players I've ever seen in the premiership, I think the idea of karma might apply here.

Though I think I would prefer, should Brentford beat Swindon, to play Sheffield, both because they look worse and because they look like the least violent team... though that might just be the highlights, hard to imagine a Morgan managed team being less violent than... any other team, ever.

EDIT 1-0 Sheffield.

We aren't actually anywhere near as rough as I expected when Morgan took over. We got the right result, but we were hopeless (again) and I think the only players we have with football brains are Kitson and Collins. The rest just have absolutely nothing going on upstairs.

Yeah, we are good defensively, obviously.. Our league record shows that, but going forward we are horrendous. It scares me how reliant we are on Kitson. And Mcdonald? The most frustrating player ever! He can spend 85 mins giving the ball away, then he will have 5 mins of being untouchable.

Not a great half, not terrible, defending okay but for a few early nervous mistakes from Harlee, the Rooney going down bit was just a dive, the one at the other end was the CB clipping Donaldson's heel, Rooney just felt a minor arm touch and threw himself down.

Think the Swindon guy should certainly have got a yellow for that tackle that wiped out a Brentford player outside their box, ref played the advantage, and I think it was Donaldson or maybe BWP just stopped even though someone passed to him, he could have run in behind for the pass and put the ball across but was just focusing on yelling at the ref to give the freekick. It wasn't far from a red that tackle though, lunging and late, very very forceful and caught the brentford player hard.

Should have done better from corners, throw ins and freekicks in the final third. But doing alright, a 0-0 is fine, if we can nick a goal, all the better. Is their away goals in play off's these days?
