I wish LVG would pull Fletcher and the defence aside over this Herrera business. It reminds me of Kagawa where he passes, Looks up and expects the ball back only for it to be hoofed out wide. He needs the ball all the time, He is the best on the pitch for taking it forward and passing but just keep your eye on him. He runs into space, Puts his hand up for it and then moves to another space and i reckon more of his time is spent doin that than passing.


And why is Rooney out on the flank at times? Wheres the wingbacks the two strikers are meant to be pinning down the two centerbacks and leaving Mata to drift away from Gerrard behind them. Grrrrrrz

Unless the team improves with world class players, Herrera is just going to go the way of Kagawa, superb players made to look total carp by the sub-par players around them.
 
Remember when Glen Johnson looked good at left back because it seemed he concentrated more and made less mistakes.

His arrival is actually putting a stop to a lot of it compared to last season, Him and Mata are on the pitch for most games and Rooney seems ok with it and is picking it up nicely. RVP is another i think who can do it but we never got to see it under the Moyes crossing system.


So really the only people i have my eyes on is the 5 man backline and whoever is bside Herrera. I think the DM beside him is the key though where do you find someone as smart as him who can play like that? Is Vidal even that quality? Of the top of my head i can think of maybe Busquets or Javi Martinez? Certainly not Carrick...
