Looks like my 2ft tall Aji's suddenly want children with me!!!!!

Checked my plants in the greenhouse the other day and found a lot of greenfly. Didn't look to be much damage so I figured they hadn't been there that long. Made up a spray bottle with soapy water and gave them all a spray. Checked back a couple of hours later and no sign of any living greenfly. Went in yesterday and noticed quite a few green leaves on the ground. Gave the plants a shake and they shed most of their leaves. looks like I made the soap solution a bit too strong :( I think a few of them have enough leaves left to survive (as long as they don't shed too much more). I'm going to re-pot the healthiest ones and hope for the best. Still got plenty fruit on the indoor plants so I'm not too disheartened.

On a happier note, one of my Scotch bonnets is ripening

Mine are fully established plants, in fact these are on their second season. They survived over wintering. Found out they aren't annual and can survive years, just need to keep them above 7c ideally. Mot sure such established plants would do well.

the romanos were pretty root bound in 25cm pots. Im sure yours will be fine being more established than those.

How big are your scotch bonnet plants as i have 7 very squat (6-8 inches) plants that are a hell of a lot bushier than my Aji's and wondering how big they can grow

These are my best 2 Scotch Bonnets so far... sturdy bushy little fellows!

Hi all, first post here, after reading all about it I have decided to jump on the chilli bandwagon!

Does anyone know if this (second pic) is normal after the flowering stage (first pic)? FYI it is a aji limon

This is my living room plant:

This is in a 15" pot in the bay window which gets loads of sun. It's currently just under 50" and still growing. Hope you've got a high ceiling :p

Since I posted a picture of the Scotch Bonnet, I'd probably better show the other two or they might feel left out. First we have the Habanero. Currently sporting 40+ fruits.

And, the Naga. Also with 40+ fruits at various stages of growth.

Are they first or second year plants as they seem pretty big and establishrd, also noticed last night my squat scotch bonnets are starting to bud... should i nip them out to encourage more plant growth or leave?

First year plants. Planted in February. Spent a couple of months under a grow light and been in a South-facing bay window since then. I've had to move the Naga out of the window as there wasn't enough room any more - the three plants were overlapping a lot.

Much excitement here. One of my Nagas is showing signs of ripening :D

Small achievement but progress. There are quite a few others that are getting quite dark green so may turn soon.

Also got another 3 Scotch Bonnets ripening (hoping to get 6 ripe at the same time to make Jerk seasoning with fresh chillis if possible). Also got quite a few Cayennes ripening. I think I'll probably dry them for now once they're fully ripe.

I've got flower buds now but nothing has opened, only on 3 plants too. I'm feeding them chilli focus 3 times a week atm.

the Curry is doing phenomenal as always, as I keep saying. If you cook currys. This one should be in every chilli growers greenhouse

The Diablo is close to opening up it's flowers

The Naghala (sp) is getting flower buds

And the King Moricha is furthest behind, but still flower buds appearing. Slightly unhealthy, a few yellow leaves and a few have dropped off, yet it's still growing plenty of new leaves. Trouble is I'm not sure what's fusing it. as it gets the same water and feed as the others.

And Upton chilli farm is selling off ~1500 plants tomorrow, so I'll be picking up probably another 9 plants.

Need some serious help what to do with my plants now!

My bonnets are squat... i know because i haven't potted them up yet which I'll be doing tuesday but as they are so short and limited in growth at the moment they have started to put out buds. What should I do with these aside from potting up?

Also my Aji's are lanky as hell and only recently started to split into a V at the top as you can see below. They have started to bud too and i dont want to really nip the tops out but they really do need to bush up. Help!

(little stressed a sin a hot window all day but just gave them a dirnk)
