2014 FA Community Shield - Arsenal v Manchester City – Sunday 10th August ** spoilers **

We will see after a few league games I guess.

But I don't get how some people already judging the guy. Wait until end of the season, or at least half way... :rolleyes:

Who precisely is judging him? Likewise... what difference will half or even a whole season make? If you were talking about a player in his first year in a first team anywhere, sure, but Sanchez.... lol. That's right, first games in England = never seen before, impossible to know how he plays or state if he had a good or bad game.

Presuming you were directing that at me, can you point where I said something like, his passing was poor...... therefore he's rubbish and he'll always be crap and I hate him and he'll play identically every single game. In reality I didn't say that second bit, nor imply it. He was poor today, that is the end of what I said. I said it because... he was poor today. Having watched 80% of Barcelona's games in the past 5 years, and having watched Sanchez play probably 60+ times, and that he isn't 18, I don't think it's particularly absurd to make statements about what the strengths and weaknesses of his game are.

What is your problem he didn't even quote you? Get over yourself.

Our team won a trophy, even if it is a friendly, jut try and enjoy it.

Agreed, very unfair to write off DM as miserable this early on, at least give him a few games first to see if this season is any different :p

Chill dude, we just won some more silverware and will be starting the season on a high :D

Well said sir :)

lol :p:cool::D

DM - Your team won 3-0 against City and you have nothing positive to say about your team. You never do. I honestly do not understand you. It is never about Arsenal playing well but it's always the other team playing badly. Urgh.

Giroud....I think I'm the only one who likes him...gooooaaaallll

I like him :) His link up play I think is great at times. He struggled last season, but I think that's just because he was so heavily relied upon. This season it looks like Sanchez, Sanogo and Campbell will all take turns up top.

I like the guy. He does a very difficult job, and generally he does it very well. The problem lies in that his strengths do not fit in with our teams strengths and he has been relied on far too heavily - but I'm not going to knock him, he has managed to score 20 goals a season for the last two years while pretty much carrying the can on his own. His finishing needs to improve, his shots to goals ratio is poor for a guy playing at the top level of English football.

I think he is a great player to have in the squad, he is different from the typical Arsenal forward over the last 15 years, he can be the fox in the box that we haven't had since Ian Wright.
