Yes he was, when he was at Porto and Atlético Madrid. But I believe going to Monaco was a terrible choice and he suffered a terrible knee injury as well.

This is why he isn't the same player he once was. Some players never recover.

Exactly. When he was at Athletico he was the best out and out striker in the world. He wasn't amazing at Monaco and by the time he came to united he was living on his reputation and hadn't been good for a while.

Owen talks a load of **** 90% of the time however so I shouldn't be surprised.
