2016 FA Community Shield … Leicester City v Manchester Utd … Sunday 7th August *** spoilers ***

FT. Nice to get off to a decent start. You can clearly see we need another dimension to central midfield... :p

Bailly looks a great player, bit raw but he's solid, fast and powerful.

Not sure how much we learnt from that. We could have told you Rooney and Fellaini were **** 2 years ago. I just really hope that was Mourinho washing his hands of rooney and giving him one last chance.

bit of meh - but will do a lot better with a stronger / better all round cm in there.

Pogba being there will hopefully be a short term measure - 1 season, with a much better CM come into the squad (than we had before today) and Pogba moving forward (and getting rid of Rooney)

Good to get the win. Bailly looks to have bags of potential but will reserve judgement till the big games really matter.

Rooney just meh again.

Good to see both Shaw and Tony V bombing on

Fellaini - double meh

A win is a win  I'm not expecting a massive change for the first few games tbh and even then it'll be gradual improvements hopefully.

I doubt that means anything at all r.e. Mata. You don't do that to a player as anything but a completely tactical change. I'm sure he will have told Mata that as well.

Nice to get a win but we were pretty poor. First half was as bad as last season really. Lots of passing it around in defence but nothing going forwards. Carrick, Fellaini and Rooney were all utter trash. Good to see Shaw still doing well and Baily made some great challenges on the ground and in the air. Zlatan looked a little frustrated, he kept having to come into our own half to actually get the ball off the eternally sideways passing deadly duo of Carrick and Fellaini.

It's actually baffling that Fellaini got 90 mins and Mkhi got about 15 seconds. What is wrong with this picture?

I actually think we'd do better if we drop Fellaini and Carrick out, put Pogba in and just play 10 players, that's how bad they were.

Mourinho subbed Mata on and then off again? Will only add to the speculation around him.

Load of claptrap being spouted by the media already saying he went off in a huff and very disappointed. Look deeper and its nonsense.

Good day out that was, even if we lost. Community Shield doesn't really matter so not bothered about losing. Nothing between both sides out there today.

Stunning stadium as well, changed a bit since I was last there about 20 years ago! :D
