Probably, the issue is English fans beyond I think all other nations regard any player scoring as them having a great game regardless of the rest of the performance. If a player scores for say Barca, but is completely worthless for 80 mins of a game if not actively harming the team the fans won't rate that player and the club would get shot of them quickly. Same at all top teams, in England if any player scores they are instantly brilliant because only top players score goals.

Rooney at Bayern, Real, Barca, almost anywhere even at his form 7-8 years ago would be sold asap for his overall performances/quality.

Really fanstastic seeing Shaw being so positive

Will probably take a bit more time for him to cope with 90 minutes but its great to have him back
 
We don't need Fallaini or Rooney period with the players we have already. Rooney has been **** in evey pre season game so far. We looked much better without him when he did come off. Same as last season really.

If you never want to rest him ever and he never gets injured.... except knowing Fellaini he'll just break Pogba's leg in training. This also ignores that players train against each other obviously, better players you train against the better you get.

If Bastian is out then they need 2-3 midfielders including Pogba, probably one who can play more AMC/no10 and play instead of Rooney.
 
United got tucked up by Rooney and his agent getting a new contract and pay rise when Moysie was panicking as united were sinking under his reign.

If Fergie had stayed another year Rooney would have been out of United and be in the MLS or China by now!
 
I used to be a big Rooney fan but after the last two seasons I just want him gone. He should never have had a new contract. I blame Moyes.
 
I couldn't care less if he is being paid 1m/week. He is holding the team back and making a mess of the team as it stands.

Bailly is a bit of a loose cannon. Will need to give him a chill pill before any derby games.

Miki can play well at No 10 (well certainly did in Germany), Rashford / Lingard are decent wingers to cover that spot

With Schneiderlin, Herrera and a couple of promising youngsters ready to cover for injuries , or just come on after 70 mins are good options

this was mentioned when the transfer was happening earlier in the summer, can be a little hot headed

He showed sh much promise. Used to love watching him play. LVG destroyed him.
