I think Rob Cross has a genuine shot at the title. He's been the best floor player by a long way over the last 12 months, has turned that into success on stage by getting to numerous semis and finals, but of course he has to get past a certain Michael Van Gerwen first.
I've not seen anyone's odds this short to win the title since Taylor's dominance. MVG is 4/6 to win the whole thing, Gary Anderson is 7/1, Peter Wright (he may not play though) 10/1, Phil Taylor 12/1, Rob Cross 14/1 and the rest may as well not bother.

Haha Durrants decent quality on that side but it does tend to have a whiff of watching league one after you’ve had 2 weeks of the premiership!

See how he does at Lakeside, they've still got that rule where if you make the last 4 you have to hand your prize money back if you jump to the PDC.And trust me, Durrant is going to after this one.
