Yup,

£205 for a 10k service on the wife's Hyundai Santa Fe. The oil itself costing 37.50 + VAT. Air and oil filters were equally extortionate.

What can I do - can I moan at someone?

£205 to service a 4x4 seems very reasonable to me. £37.50+Vat for oil is not extortionate, sounds rather cheap compared to my last oil change.

That's not a bad price. SEAT wanted £370 off me for a 10k service. I just bought the bits off them and got a local mechanic to do it for a third of the price. Warranty is still valid that way.

5yr warranty was my worry, so I stuck with the Hyundai dealer. It needs the brake master cylinder replaced (losing fluid) which will be about £250, but free under warranty.

I must be gettin' old if you guys think £40+ for 5L of oil is reasonable, lol.

Can you not just take your own oil & filter in and get them to use that, or does that invalidate warranty because they aren't allowed to rip you off if you do..?

Tell me about it, just got a bill for £180 for a service and repair on my fuel pump.

Thats a week freaking wage. :(

Cost me £244 for my 3rd yearly service on my 03 Mk4 Astra GSI, thats including new wipers, tracking and all new fluids. Hate paying the price but might as well do the services before something bites you in the ass later on!

Seems perfectly reasonable for a main dealer price TBH.
Oil price doesn't appear to be too over the top, 4 litres of Magnatec is around 35 notes
