2080 Ti Super ?

Am I late here in saying that the 2080Ti Super is due to be released in 2020 as Ampere is delayed?

Wouldn't surprise me, People at Nvidia said they are not bringing out a 2080 Ti Super when the 2080 Super launched but I've learned that everyone at Nvidia is a born liar and you could trust a black mamba more than you could trust an Nvidia employee/spokesperson.

They're beginning to feel like Intel...regurgitate the same tech with small improvements. They're too comfortable and need to be shaken up a little. Another competitor/card to the high end market would give them the willies I think.

I'm just tired of the constant lying, One of the main hiring prereqs at Nvidia must be "We only hire liars and you must be able to lie to peoples faces and not flinch".

Given the pricing of a 2080ti and the limits of the technology and core count, what’s the bet this, if it does arrive, will be 400MHz on the core, maybe a couple of Gigs of extra ram and another few hundred Hertz on the memory? And an extra £200 for the privilege?

Not trying to defend NVidia at all, just wondering what I've missed. What have they lied about now?
Is it a CEO has said thing? or a 970 has 4GB of mem type thing?

They said they had no plans for a 2080-Ti-Super. Which they may not have done. But plans can change, especially if there's a delay to your next gen cards.

To some folks this is a lie. To me, well it's just business. Which often involves lies!

Hey cape town, do you maybe have the game Trine 4? It's using over 10gb VRAM on my 2080ti and I'm keen to see if I had more VRAM would it use even more. My settings at 4k resolution and textures are set to "full resolution"

Memory allocation and use are different things. A game may allocate a certain amount of memory that it never actually uses.
Around when the Radeon VII was new people were trying to claim a need for 14GB of VRAM citing that the Res Evil 2 remake used more than 11GB. That more than 11GB was simply allocation. Res Evil 2 ran flawlessly at 4k totally max settings on my 2080ti.

ok so it was a question asked at the E3 event back in July to Jeff Fisher Vice president of Business.
I would certainly put that into the CEO said thing bracket.

you would certainly expect him to know if a 2080ti super was on the cards, so definitely a lie in that respect. Unless the rumour is wrong of course.:)

yes I'm aware of that. I was asking out of curiosity only - the game seems to have incredibly high texture resolution

True but it seems to be getting worse.
With people happy to see the likes of Trump in office and then you have people spreading wccftech links all over the place here, they obviously think we do not mind. Love it even...

Fake news is awesome apparently.
