2080ti cards failing ?

I was just going to type what I am saying here and GN said the same in his video.

This insane assembly with all the screws, brackets, glue etc. added $100 to the price of the card.

Also, No wonder they wanted no teardown, check at 12 mins in, the actual fins on the cooler is small enough to fit on a single slot card, on a $1000+ gpu, the amount of metal to absorb heat is extremely low.

I am in the middle of a new water cooling build and have the MSI Geforce RTX 2080 Ti Sea Hawk EK X on pre order. It could be months before this isssue with the RTX is fixed. Not sure what to do now as I need a card to finish my loop.

I'm getting a refund. I've realised my GTX 1080 is good enough for now and will wait to see what 7nm brings. I hope they don't give me any more problems.

The nvidia statement was kind of odd, limited test "escapes". Wut? Sounds like an A-Team breaking murdock out of the psych hospital routine was in operation.
