I'm heading to OCuk store Monday to take a look see at the monitors in action before i make my mind up.

Anyone looking from the staff stick up BF1 on the predator monitor in anticipation of my arrival please :D

Because I'm going to arrive like a pimp and drop a ton of cash on dem hoes (monitors)

Gratz on making the plunge, I cant make my mind up. Do Overclockers do demo's?

I go in there whenever i can if I'm buying something new and there is always a few games on the monitors displayed. It wouldn't hurt to ask them to run whatever game it is you want I'm sure they would oblige if your planning on parting with £700 or more.... If they don't just tickle them.

Maybe call and ask if they've any on display first, I can't remember seeing any when I was last there.

Anyone else disappointed with absolute lack of news about CF791?

QD VA with rich blacks and wide gamiut + freesync 100hz sounds really sexy if paired with the upcoming Vega, but neither is anywhere in sight... :(

Waiting for a review of this so I know if it's worth waiting for the G-sync version.

Tempted to upgrade my XR3501 to the PG348Q now that they can be had for £900 new. Anybody used both monitors?

Still not sure about the curve...

well yeah, it's pretty big. But on the other hand, this may be necessary to reduce color shifts. This is a VA panel, after all. A pretty large one...

I'm not a fan of curved displays, but most people report that you stop noticing it after a while, which is good, I guess.

Any news of other manufacturers joining the 21:9 Gsync market?

Need some competition to drive prices down..

Nothing that I am aware of...

And it is very unlikely that we will see anything else other than from acer and asus given that monitor manufacturers have to change the design of their monitors in terms of dimensions etc. in order to integrate the gsync module, hence why it still only seems to be acer and asus heavily investing in gsync:

Thanks for that article, but damn! Looks like I either need to splurge or go AMD. Just wish they had something more powerful than the RX480 :(

They do, it is called a fury x :p

But yeah, hopefully vega won't disappoint.... It is only a matter of time until nvidia support adaptive sync anyway.

You really think Nvidia will ever support it?

Hopefully you're not wrong but cant see it being for a while yet if they eventually do (?). I just want to be able to decide on a monitor + gpu combo and be happy with it :(

Yup, they will have to at some point, intel will be supporting it as well as all the new upcoming TVs + consoles and they are getting their ass handed to them for sheer selection now despite gsync being out for over a year longer than adaptive/free sync:

2015 G-Sync monitors: 8 IPS, 3 TN, 1 VA
2016 G-Sync monitors: 3 IPS, 5 TN, 6 VA

2015 FreeSync monitors: 13 IPS, 15 TN, 2 VA
2016 FreeSync monitors: 32 IPS, 17 TN, 13 VA

Also, they are already using it for their laptops.

+ Peterson did say this:

never say never

I don't think they will ever abandon gsync module completely but I can see it becoming a niche for the "premium" gaming monitors.

That's exactly right. They will support adaptive sync and also offer their G-Sync monitors as a premium... which probably will mean that Freesync will decrease in price and G-Sync increase further!

Oh wow awesome news. I didn't know intel, televisions and games consoles were supporting FreeSync too.

When will Intel start?

Does that read as Nvidia laptop gpu's already have FreeSync?
