I really like the idea of having all my games stored on my hdd (just like steam) but the 360 can only go up to 160gb right? Going to be a tight fit if you plan on buying a lot of these games. Now I just wish Sony would get their asses in gear and put PS2 games up on the PSN.

21 games will be available at the launch of the service, which hits in conjunction with the upcoming dashboard update that'll also let you buy clothes and trinkets for your little virtual dude. Prices aren't available just yet, but I'm going to come out and guess $19.99 for most of these. Many of these games are already selling in stores for that price. Here's the list:

* Assassin's Creed (Ubisoft)
* Burnout Paradise (EA)
* Call of Duty 2 (Activision)
* Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Bethesda)
* Fight Night Round 3 (EA)
* Kameo: Elements of Power (Microsoft Game Studios)
* LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga (LucasArts)
* Mass Effect (Microsoft Game Studios)
* Meet The Robinsons (Disney)
* MX vs. ATV Untamed (THQ)
* Need for Speed Carbon (EA)
* Need for Speed: Most Wanted (EA)
* Perfect Dark Zero (Microsoft Game Studios)
* Prey (2K Games)
* Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis (Rockstar Games)
* Sega Rally (Sega)
* TEST DRIVE: UNLIMITED (Atari)
* Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas (Ubisoft)
* Tomb Raider Legend (Eidos)
* Viva Piñata (Microsoft Game Studios)
* Viva Piñata 2: Trouble in Paradise (Microsoft Game Studios)

Yeah they really need to bring out a bigger HDD for the 360, and at a reasonable price!

I've got a 60GB and as most modern games are on DL DVD's an install is about 6.5-7.5GB, you can only squeeze on maybe 8 games before you have to start deleting stuff and picking and choosing your faves.

A 250/320GB drive would be awesome.

Only if you plan on swapping between loads of games all the time. I'd be happy to have loads of games tided to my account, its only a short time downloading a full game on my connection.

That list is pure bargain basement though. Nothing on there i'd feel the need to get.

Why install any of those for $19.99 when the conversion will likely be £10-15 and the disc is available for £5 give or take a couple of quid on all those games and you can trade or sell them if you want. I'd likely be more keen if you could self upgrade the 360 HDD.

As said above, games can be had on disk cheaper, combine that with the fact that you are limited to relatively small harddrive spaces and i just can't see the benefit to this. Sure if you could install a 320gig drive without hassle it would have potential, but i could see a 60gb drive (which i imagine most people have these days) filling up very quickly.

It seems the price point of 1600 MSP is not entirely accurate. This is the low end of a scale which ranges up to 2400 MSP. (£13.60 - £20.40) Sod that for a game of soldiers.

I'll echo the space storage problems mentioned above, dont think they will release a bigger hard drive soon, but I hope they have some solution available.

Its a good idea, but out of that list of games, the ones I want I already have.

I think its targeted more at the lazy or impulse purchaser that might have his fancy tickled on a friday night. etc...

The benefit is somewhat muted now that the games can be installed to the HDD. In the past, it could have been a way to overcome the nightmares of the disc scratching that occured all too often.

If I could pay for new games on the service (eg HALO ODST with unlock code) on release day for a price similar to most other online retailers (£30), I'd much rather do that as launching from the dashboard is easier than shuffling through disks :p (and takes up less room on the shelf).

Agree. Defo do this with new games.

I am actually of guilty of doing this with Steam on the PC. Stupid impulse buying :(

Doubt I would do this for the 360, since most of the games are old and the ones I would play I already have.

Yeah I've done it too. Its a lot easier to do when its just numbers on the screen rather then a physical transaction.

Bit like the difference between Internet and live poker. Pushing all you chips all in online is a lot easier then in a live game.
