I know its sucking eggs but have you tried the driver from the samsung website. I received the 206bw last week and had the same problem initially but after installing the driver from the website it worked fine.

am getting the same problem on mine, so am not sure if bothers me that much 1280x1024 is what i would use always anyways, might give them samsung numptys a phone call to see what is what and balls to a refurbished model i want a new one, bloody morons.

You're not going to want to use a non-native resolution permanently though; it'll look terrible compared to the native resolution (1680x1050).

Wtf? Overclockers will only refund me but not replace the monitor. That's great, so now not only did I pay the first lot of postage, I have to pay the postage back and then EVEN MORE postage to get the new monitor back to me. What a great bloody system........

Well I rang the samsung support line and they arnt a support line, he eidndt even know what a resolution was. They just take notes down then pass you off.

He said because its within 28 days of purchase i must go back to OCUK and they will have to exchange my product.

OCUK line closes before i get back from work so iv not been able to call them.

If the guy above is right, that is TERRIBLE! service :o

Iv paid like £8 for this to be delivered to me, which also tuck about a month after countless failed promises.

Now it doesnt work properly they make us pay for it to be sent back (wont be cheap as its a large monitor)

Then pay for them to send us a new one...

Thats gotta be breaking some sort of laws or regulations... ?

I paid OCUK for the monitor which basiclly doesnt work. Therefore they should (like Samsung said) replace it. It shouldnt cost me a penny to send and receive it as I'v held my end up.

Surely they cant just say. Oh sorry its heap of crap u can now pay to send it back to us then pay for us to send you another which may also turn out to be a pile of crap and then pay to send that back?

I paid for delivery and also expected a working product...

if that is what they are saying where would I take this? Trading standards im guessing?

Thanks! Someone who is on my side. I hate being fobbed off like this. I paid for something, I paid overclockers more because I like them, I like that they're an independent business and demand the best hardware. Come on, hold your end up. I've held mine! I've been using you for over 3 years now!!

Mine is working fine but I do feel for you guys with the problem. Seems a no-brainer to me, if the monitor doesn't work at the native resolution then it should be replaced for a new one that does or a full refund should be given including postage.

i'm gunna close this for now since the forums are not the place to moan about the shop or support. I'd suggest anyone who is having issues with their product or who is not happy with the service OcUK are offering contacts the shop direct.

thanks
