I'm torn here. I may save for a new monitor however not sure what size to go for. I could either:

Buy a 24" and possibly get another shortly after.

or

Buy a 30" and stick with that.

I'm guessing that I would get more productivity out of 2 24" monitors and the ability to multitask. Plus I wouldn't have to upgrade as often!

whats your computers specs and are you a heavy or light gamer? :p if its just for work related stuff id say go for a 30" then again i dont think you can go too wrong with 2x24 :)

I was in the same situation as i had a 24" and wanted a new one.

I sit pretty close to the screen so i cut out out the dimensions of what a 30" screen would be from some cardboard and placed it where it would go.

Was too big in the end so got myself a nice NEC 24" instead.

If you got the room though and not too close to screen then i would go for a 30".

Personally I'd get 2 x 24" screens as I'd get more from them, but as mentioned it'd be a good idea to see how big they are in the area you want to fill as 30" is humungous.

You still haven't said what you actually use your PC for so it's hard to answer.

I went from 2 x 24" -> 30" and then back to the 2 x 24" again. The 30" was great for games & DVDs but I found working in Visual Studio (and other programming IDEs) and 3D Modelling generally more difficult to arrange into a workspace I was comfortable to use on the 30".

I've seen plenty of 30s and they're too big for my liking - 24-27 seems to be about right.

Plus you really don't want to cart a 30" monitor to a LAN! :D

I have 3 * 24 inch, had considered a 30" but I much prefer having seperate screens for seperate tasks.

Screen 1 = Full screen VMWARE box for work
Screen 2 = Email, Messenger, browser etc.
Screen 3 = Multimedia stuff, MP3, video, TV etc.

I'm thinking of either a second 2407 or selling mine and getting a 30" panel. Not 100% sure. I play games and surf the net mainly and I also watch a lot of DVD's etc on my PC. I'm thinking 1x30" would be better?
